I have received reports regarding the fact that incessant
references continue to appear on the Internet to the effect that
organizations headed by Archbishop Lazar are under my omofor. This
state of affairs continues to lead our flock astray.
Consequently, I am forced to remind everyone of the numerous R.O.C.A.
resolutions which clearly state that, through their schismatic actions,
the Most-reverend Lazar and Veniamin, and those with them, have placed
themselves outside the assembly of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad.
In view of the persistent disregard toward this R.O.C.A. position being
exhibited to this very day by Archbishop Lazar and Bishop Veniamin, I
officially declare that they have no right to shield themselves behind my
name, nor to print on the masthead of their website: “under the omofor
of His Eminence, Metropolitan Vitaly.”
